Scotland Confirm U16 Rosters

Wood and MacDonald confirm their U16 Squads ahead of FIBA European Championships

The National Squads have had a busy summer with both the Men and Women U16 squads competing in the Copenhagen Invitational in preparation for the Euro’s. A bronze medal for the Men was sealed off with a dominant win over the auld enemy, England. The Women too, put in strong performances, taking on some of Europe’s top youth teams.

The Men’s squad will travel out to Tirana and are grouped with San Marino, Luxembourg, Moldova and Albania – with the competition tipping off on Sunday. The Women start their Euro Campaign on the 16th July in Chisinau. They are grouped with Malta, Wales and Cyprus.

Head Coaches Darryl Wood (U16 Men) and Donnie McDonald (U16 Women) today announced the final roster as the last cuts were made. The only addition to the squads is West Lothian Wolves Lucy Lemmon who returns from injury.

The squad have continued to work very hard since the Copenhagen Invitational Tournament, so we are delighted with how the final preparations have gone. The whole group can’t wait to get to Moldova now and get our main competition underway.
