Scottish Duo in Deng Top Ten

Success for Scottish Hoopers in Annual Deng Camp Top 10 National Ranking

The elite talent scouting camp, founded and ran by GB legend and former NBA All-Star Luol Deng, invites 50 of the best young ballers in Britain for a series of scouting assessments and produces a ranked list.

Deng Camp recently announced their latest UK Rankings as the season has gotten well underway. The Top 20 athletes are released regularly, giving the UK and the participants the chance to see where they stack up.

Former Stirling Knights standout, Lewis McGlasson who now suits up for EABL side Myerscough Academy, was announced at #6 behind a stacked Top 5.

McGlasson spoke on his ranking, saying,

I’m really pleased that I am ranked so high, was never expecting to be ranked so high going into the camp but it just shows what working hard everyday can do. In terms of going into the camp I literally just went in there to make a bigger name for myself and it was done successfully.

Coming it at #10, GB U18 star and former St Mirren youth stand out, is Chris Feeney. The sharpshooting guard has been competing in the EABL and NBL D1 Men with Barking Abbey for the past two seasons.

“Being ranked is a great honour and I feel is recognition of the hard work put in during the season and in summer too.”
